Designer/Artist Michelle Samuel is the owner and founder of Portland-based Tin­ker­friendly Design. She pro­vides help to indi­vid­u­als or orga­ni­za­tions to deter­mine and cre­ate solu­tions that meet strate­gic goals. Prior to found­ing Tin­ker­friendly, Michelle worked in the adver­tis­ing indus­try for 13 years. Her expe­ri­ence and exper­tise in find­ing cre­ative design solu­tions and pro­vid­ing sup­port­ive tutor­ing has proven to be a val­ued resource for her clients. Michelle believes that suc­cess lies in under­stand­ing and mak­ing use of an indi­vid­u­als and orga­ni­za­tions exist­ing abil­i­ties and resources. She holds a Mas­ters Degree in Teach­ing from George Fox Uni­ver­sity and a Bach­e­lor of Fine Arts from Pacific North­west Col­lege of Art. Past projects include web­site graph­ics and lay­out, dis­play ad lay­out, logo design, book cov­ers, brochures, and illustrations.
